Weibo: Duxiao Daren / The third installment in the Vanity trilogy: an epic-length story of empire, fantasy, civilization warfare, and passionate power progression.
Colonel Ye Lin, the war god who guarded against the apocalypse, gave his life in the line of duty to save a little girl.
He woke up in the interstellar age ten thousand years in the future, as someone's "little sister."
His hair fell to his waist, his features were as exquisite as a painting, and his face was pale with illness. He looked like a porcelain doll that would shatter at a touch.
Ye Lin, once a six-foot-two tough guy: ...

Ten thousand years from now, Earth has become a low-level colony of the Ayr Empire. Huaxia refused to hand over its civilizational heritage and became enslaved by the Ayrans.
Ye Lin once swore beneath the red flag to devote his entire life to his country.
Even now, he is still willing to lay down his life and shed his blood for this "slave" nation that will never bow its head. He is willing to protect its people, braving any danger for them.
One day, the flag of Huaxia will fly in every corner of the endless sea of stars.
It may come a little late, but those who offend Huaxia...
No matter how far away, they will be killed.

Those who sleep eternally are not the dead. Corrupted flesh will eventually decay, but those with spirits will endure for all eternity.
Even death will dissipate amid the strange, secret fires.
Reading guide:
1. This is the third installment in the Vanity series: Empire. It takes place ten thousand years after the second installment, when Origin Star has evolved into a true land of mysteries. You can read it without having read the first two books. This story also includes some of the basic settings from Vanity, along with foundations laid in the earlier books, especially the second. These aren't mentioned in the blurb, so see the story itself for details.
2. Ye Lin disguises himself as a woman in the early part of the story. The love interest is an antagonist at first, and their age gap is vast as a divine punishment.
3. An epic-length, passionate power-progression story. The main genre is fantasy, with Lovecraftian elements and civilization warfare.
4. The power-progression systems in the Vanity series are: skill sequence in the first book, gene sequence in the second, and divine nature sequence in the third. You could say the series shifts from esports to interstellar sci-fi to fantasy. Curious readers are welcome to check them all out.
5. To be added.
