Cang Chen saw Mu Yao in the mortal realm, stripped of her immortal bones and with her immortal meridians destroyed.

Clearly not mortal, yet even more fragile than a mortal. He couldn't bear to watch, so he brought her back to the Immortal Realm.

Out of a sense of responsibility toward a fellow immortal, Cang Chen carefully looked after her. To keep her from falling, he even pulled up the medicinal herbs he had tended so diligently and planted cotton instead.

That criminal was the man Mu Yao had gone through a trial of love with in the mortal realm. She had lost her immortal bones and had her immortal meridians destroyed for his sake.

The treasure he had raised for so long had run away. Cang Chen returned to the Heavenly Realm and captured her, locking her in an immortal-prison cage. The mark of a fallen immortal appeared on his forehead. "Didn't you once love me? I'll let you have me. Don't go..."

Mu Yao looked at the immortal who had once been the coldest and most heartless being in the Immortal Realm, her heart in turmoil. "That was before. Don't be like this. I'm not used to it..."

Cang Chen handed her the key. "Then imprison me..."
