The Yan Dynasty fell, and the Great Qin was founded. The last emperor knelt with his palace consorts to welcome the new ruler.
Xiao Ze, the founding emperor of the Great Qin, still wore bloodstained armor.
He pulled up Zhuang Wanyan, the most beautiful consort in the last emperor's harem.
"Your beauty is renowned, Noble Consort. I've heard of it for a long time."
That very day, Zhuang Wanyan was given a cup of poisoned wine by the last emperor.

Reborn into a new life, Zhuang Wanyan no longer dared to enter the palace.
She followed her family's arrangements and obediently married Xiao Wenyi, an uneducated, dissolute playboy from the Xiao family.
She feared the palace, where people were devoured without a drop of blood being shed. She feared the cowardly, sinister Emperor Yan. Most of all, she feared the new ruler of the Great Qin, who was drenched in blood.
So what if she married a pretty face with nothing inside?
Under the protection of the new emperor, at least she could live in peace with the Xiao family.
But on their wedding night, when her veil was lifted, Zhuang Wanyan was dumbstruck.
The man before her, her playboy husband Xiao Wenyi,
was exactly like the future ruler of the Great Qin, a brilliant emperor who would unify all under heaven!
