A sweet little campus-and-gaming romance
In real life, Xu Yao is a model student who never skips class, a hard-working top student in her teachers' eyes.
In the game, she's Yaoguang, a great swordsman who has battled her way through the entire server and ranks second on the combat power leaderboard.
Her life's wish is to defeat Chicheng, the top-ranked big shot from the rival guild who is always so shamelessly flirtatious with her.
But when they compete for the annual arena championship...
First match:
Chicheng casts a binding spell. "Well, little Yaoguang, are you convinced yet?"
With only a sliver of health left, Xu Yao grits her teeth and types, "No."
Second match:
Chicheng casts a freezing spell. "Little swordsman, do you like this feeling?"
Xu Yao struggles in the frost trap. "You ambushed me!"
Third match:
After a fierce battle, Xu Yao's mana bar is empty.
Chicheng pins the female swordsman to the ground, looking down at her as he clicks his tongue. "Little Yaoguang, you're all out of steam."
Xu Yao blushes furiously. "...Get off me!"
After the match, Chicheng wins the championship, but doesn't log in for half a month.
When he finally returns, he sends Xu Yao a huge bundle of love-knot branches. "Little Yaoguang, haven't you figured it out yet?"
"Be my partner. I'll be yours, and my whole guild will be yours too."
Xu Yao: ???

One rainy day,
Xu Yao cautiously asks her classmate, "...I lost my umbrella. Could I share yours again?"
Cheng Yi looks up and sees her clear, slightly timid eyes, exactly like those of that silly, earnest, bashful swordsman.
Calmly, Cheng Yi hides someone's umbrella deeper in her bag and smiles. "Sure, Yaoyao."
