One day, you discover that neither of your parents is a good person. In fact, they're on opposing sides.
Kong Kenan is an ordinary delinquent in the 21st century. He never takes school seriously, planning to coast through high school, spend three years at some no-name college, then go home and inherit the family business, Zhongdan Auto Repair. But after he is accidentally dragged into the conspiracies, superpowers, and political feuds of his parents' generation, and even injected with superhuman genes, he becomes one of the many pieces in a chain of interlocking schemes. The seventeen-year-old boy's life changes completely overnight.
For example, his parents team up to kick him out of the country, because his English is absolutely terrible.
Fine. Let his parents, who only recently reunited, stay in the country and sort out their decades-long love-hate relationship. There's no place for Kong Kenan in that mess anyway. As a transfer student at Gotham Academy, this Asian kid who never takes off his yellow glasses may seem a little too flashy to certain people. Want to guess who they are? Students, and the shadows of Gotham.
This is a new story, starring the new Superman, Kong Kenan. There are lots of original ideas, the timeline is all over the place, and it's written to indulge my own tastes, so don't overthink it. It's a real shame that Jinjiang has no stories starring our Kenan.
The plot will mix in material from several comics and major events, such as Gotham Academy, the Robin War, and Superman sitting up in his coffin (just kidding), among others. I haven't worked out the outline yet. I'm writing this out of love. Feel free to choose your ship, whether BG or BL. The plot develops slowly and goes wherever it wants. Feel free to discuss plot developments in the comments. I'll happily take suggestions into account when appropriate.
