I Became Emperor in Ancient Times

[The protagonist has no romance and no CP, but the extras include romantic stories for supporting characters, so the tags have been changed to multiple pairings. The supporting characters include both BG and BL.] Chu Yu wakes up to find that he has become the supreme emperor, with three thousand women in his harem and countless subjects. He starts at the peak. A textbook harem-seeking protagonist from a web novel, just as you'd expect from someone who transmigrated. That is, if he hadn't transmigrated into one of history's most infamous last emperors... By day, he has to deal with his ministers' tangled schemes. By night, he has to balance the status of everyone in his harem and fulfill his duties, occasionally playing along with a few scenes of jealous rivalry. At home, powerful clans control the court. Abroad, barbarians watch like hawks. And he, the emperor who seems to stand above all, isn't truly important to a single person. The ministers covet his power, the consorts care about his body, and even his personal eunuch only cares about the money and goods he occasionally bestows, and only the kind that can be sold. Chu Yu: "..." Forget it. Whoever wants to be emperor can do it. I'm done! The commoners: "Your Majesty, you can't! We're still waiting to get enough to eat!" ※ If you're dropping the novel, please don't tell me. Just leave quietly. A similar upcoming no-CP story: "Senior Brother Resigns" by Qing Zhi Ling. Blurb: Stay away from the plot, starting with me. ※ A sickly male sect leader, no CP, cultivation and leveling up, taking disciples and punishing scum, building up the sect. Theme: A clear world and peaceful land.
