After I Flirted with the Founding Emperor

Zhao Mo, king of Yue, was sent to the Wei state as a hostage when he was young. He spent five years at Que Terrace, enduring humiliation.

The king of Wei, fearful of what might happen, sent the most beautiful woman of the royal clan, Yu Qiao, to marry him and forge an alliance between their families.

On the day she entered Yanjing, the capital of Yue, envoys from the other three states arrived as well. Fine horses and ornate carriages filled the streets. Each of the three princesses was strikingly beautiful, accompanied by dozens of gorgeous concubines.

Everyone mocked her, saying the Wei princess would meet a terrible fate.

No one knew that, years ago at Que Terrace in Wei, a little girl in a pale pink dress had hooked her finger around a young boy's and comforted him: “One day, you'll return to Yue and become its king. Don't be afraid.”

Later, Zhao Mo fought his way back to Yue, and news of her death arrived from Wei.

A proud, radiant beauty x a teasing, capricious, sweet-on-the-outside schemer

*Yu Qiao is Yu Qingling. She was forced to fake her death.

*The male lead is a good person, more or less.

I want to give you the very best the world has to offer

#May Great Yue grow strong, with no one left to oppress it. May peace reign beneath heaven, and the four seas be united. May my wife and I grow old together, hand in hand, never to part.#
