I Only Know the Character Profiles, Yet I'm Forced to Perform the Official History

[If you came here after seeing an update, don't worry, I haven't abandoned this story. I just want to revise it thoroughly. I'm not happy with the Yokohama opening, so I'm going to make major changes starting there. I should begin revising tomorrow.] Also known as "The Scriptwriting Team All Got the Wrong Abilities," "The Actor Without a Script Starts Performing Based on Baidu Encyclopedia Entries," and "You Know You're Out of Character, Right?" At dusk, a bandaged hand suddenly reaches out of a river gleaming in the setting sun. A brown-haired head emerges from the water. Weariness fills the refined features of the young man's face. He says expressionlessly, "Damn it, my boss didn't give me a script. What kind of character is Dazai Osamu, the missing Pillar I'm supposed to play?" How can he play the missing Pillar without a character profile? The world will collapse! Most importantly, he has to perform for his counterparts from another world! Hold on a second. Let him look it up on Baidu Encyclopedia! Some time later System (intelligence module fully loaded): :D! Why are you looking up the official history? Search for the Bungo Stray Dogs entry! Aaaah, why are all your abilities different now? Save this world! Dazai Osamu - The Setting Sun Edogawa Ranpo - Daydream Fyodor - The Demons Host (glances at his ability, calm and resigned, like he's given up.jpg): I've already sacrificed so much. Let me finish writing this novel first. System (screaming at the top of its lungs): Stop obsessing over the story of your own character! Get those three secret identities onstage! Stop writing your novel! After going through untold hardships to see the secret identities in action System (crashes): A clingy Dazai Osamu, an Edogawa Ranpo whose mental state is questioned, and a Fyodor who drinks vodka and nearly gets into a brawl with a bear... How has this world not fallen apart yet? Even when the Host performs the official history, he's completely out of character! 1. No pairing. The master actor has no feelings. The protagonist chose the wrong character profile from the very beginning and performs as if it's the official history (though I don't think his acting is the official history, either). The characters will be out of character, so read with caution. 2. This is a world-saving story where the protagonist performs for the original characters in a parallel world to earn their approval (confirmed). The drama-loving protagonist and his three secret identities are all giving it their best. 3. The story features role-playing, secret identities, mistaken assumptions, a story within a story, and faux watch-along scenes. Content warnings are in the first chapter. The characters being played are the three members of the scriptwriting team. Theme: Books are the ladder of human progress
