Beneath the Void

An idea from 2019, with the blurb written in early 2020.

I've got 50,000 words saved up, but my writing skills are limited, so I've decided to work on some stories that don't require quite as much skill first. Q-Q

Blurb:

Ben's life, from childhood onward, has always been shrouded in a haze. Some things can only be understood by going back to the past.

Director: Ben!!! What's going on with you?!

Ben: Emmm... My memory has never been very good.

Director (earnestly): The world needs you to save it. I have high hopes for you!

Ben: No! ... Hey, wait! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Old man, stop hitting me, sob...

And so Ben embarked on the inescapable path of saving the world.

To save the world and recover his memories, Ben's identity changes twice.

As he travels through time and space again and again, he slowly finds himself and comes to understand that everything is a foreshadowing laid down by his past self, who is also his future self.

In this "closed loop moving forward," standing at both the beginning and the end, he writes a worthy answer for this world and for himself.
