Mu Jiu first met Shen Yan while she was at a training camp in Beicheng.
She had bought four tickets for an escape room, but she was the only one there for the entire afternoon session.
Shen Yan owned the place and had a cat. He was handsome, with cool, refined features and a flirtatious, bad-boy air that made him irresistible.
So Mu Jiu asked, "Is the escape room scary?"
He smiled. "Terrifying."
Mu Jiu smiled too. "Then can you come in with me? I'm scared."
Later, she asked for his WeChat. Before accepting her friend request, Shen Yan asked, "Kid, how old are you?"
Mu Jiu put her hands behind her back and answered, "I'm twenty."
His hand paused, but he still tapped accept. "All right, then."
But at New Year's dinner, Mu Jiu realized that the good-for-nothing wastrel her mother had mentioned was Shen Yan.
When they bumped into each other in the corridor, he seemed to have expected it and teased her, "Taking your college entrance exams next semester?"
Mu Jiu: "..."
He brushed the white fluff on her down jacket. "You look pretty well-behaved like this."
Annoyed, she slapped his hand away.
He ruffled her hair again. "All right, go on back. Good luck with your exams."
Maybe his words really did help. Mu Jiu began spending all her time in the dance studio.
Half a year later, she got into the school of her dreams. Shen Yan's bar was nearby.
On her eighteenth birthday, after blowing out her candles, she asked him, "Shen Yan, I've made my wish. Can I be your girlfriend?"
He looked at her for a long while before answering, "Mu Jiu, there are so many young guys at college. Go date one of them."
Later, Mu Jiu attended a celebration after the freshman showcase, and the group moved on to the bar Shen Yan owned.
Halfway through the night, that lunatic Shen Yan came over with a dark expression and dragged her into the lounge.
He even had the nerve to scold her: "Your mom told me to keep an eye on you. Could you make things a little easier for me?"
Mu Jiu angrily stomped on his foot. "Get lost! Who the hell are you? What the hell do I have to do with you?"
Shen Yan seemed to have gone crazy with anger. He gripped her wrist so tightly it hurt and asked through clenched teeth, "Then what kind of relationship would let me keep an eye on you? A boyfriend?"

Blurb for Bandit Stone:
Song Xiujun was always hearing Tang Xiu's name from Old Master Tang. He heard about her while playing chess, while watering flowers, and all through his childhood.
Every time Old Master Tang finished showing off, he would sigh with regret: "What a shame you're a little too old. Otherwise, you'd really make a good grandson-in-law."
In Tang Xiu's third year of college, Song Xiujun filled in for his advisor and moved back to an apartment near campus.
After becoming her roommate and spending more time with her, he realized the old man's praise wasn't unfounded.
She really was wonderful. Her little dog was adorable, too: fluffy and impeccably polite.
He loved taking her poodle for a walk at five thirty every morning.
Song Xiujun figured he had come to love the dog because he loved its owner.
Until someone else got there first.

Tang Xiu had been nursing a crush since childhood on an older man: exceptionally handsome, refined, and an untouchable flower on a lofty peak.
With such a paragon in her mind, she had never dated anyone before Cheng Xuanyi, a student athlete, confessed to her.
He was sunny and handsome, with an eight-pack. Tang Xiu thought about it for two days and realized she had no reason to turn him down.
Who knew things would change as soon as they started dating?
After a mixer, Cheng Xuanyi walked her home and happened to run into Song Xiujun, who was taking his dog out in the middle of the night.
Song Xiujun gave them a cold look, picked up the dog, and walked over, radiating the air of a possessive boyfriend. He calmly took the upper hand: "Tang Xiu told me about you. You're the boyfriend she just started dating."
"But that's enough for tonight. It's her curfew. Let go of her hand."
On a holiday date, Tang Xiu received ninety-nine bright red roses.
Over breakfast the next morning, Song Xiujun arranged flowers on the table. Hearing her praise the bouquet, he smiled and said, "Really? You brought red roses home last night. I was worried you wouldn't like the white peonies."
Gradually, Tang Xiu realized that someone was acting strangely. He was suddenly keen on working out, dressing impeccably, giving her gifts, and fussing over her. He was showing off like a peacock, but she could always come up with an excuse to explain it away.
Until one night, Song Xiujun came back from a work dinner after two glasses of red wine, the tips of his ears flushed. He took her hand and asked:
"Do I really have no chance?"
"I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself just now... But you're too good to him."
"When are you two going to break up?"

Theme: Some stars will always remain out of reach if you never try to catch them.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that I want to see them get married, have a honeymoon and have a baby. I love them so much.
How to say The author describes everything except the relationship between the male and female protagonist very well, such as escape from the escape room, the female protagonist's dance, the male protagonist's guitar, the band of his friends, and games... However, the writing about the relationship between the male and female protagonist is a little bit ignorant. I came to read this novel because of the age difference. Speaking of which, it is actually relatively well written. The previous story about a woman chasing a man is very good, but there is no crematorium for chasing his wife. At least Shen Yan can chase her for a few days. However, compared with the several age difference books I have read before, the writing still needs work. Come on?? Looking forward to other novels written by the author.
It's so well written, so beautiful! ! ! The sweet girl Mu Jiu and the thoughtful old man Shen Yan
Emmm I'm a little regretful. Maybe it's because of my age. I always feel that the male protagonist's love is not as passionate as the female protagonist's. The female protagonist has always liked her more deeply.
It's really beautiful, the corners of my mouth didn't even come down during the whole process hahaha
