Shen Yin’s students privately say that the symphony orchestra’s principal cellist seems aloof and above worldly concerns, but is actually vain, money-hungry, and notorious.

People have photographed her several times being picked up at the school gates by luxury cars, always accompanied by potbellied middle-aged men. She also often stays out all night.

Later, she takes part in filming the school anniversary video as a student representative.

Amid the mass ridicule, she is temporarily removed as principal cellist and doesn’t come to school for two whole days.

Gradually, Tang Xiu notices that someone’s behavior is strange. He’s not only working out enthusiastically and dressing elegantly, but constantly giving her presents and showing her concern, like a peacock displaying its feathers. Still, he always comes up with reasons for her to explain it away.

Until one night, after Song Xiujun comes home from a business dinner and a couple glasses of red wine, his ears flushed red as he takes her hand and asks:

“Do I really have no chance?”

“Sorry, I couldn’t control myself just now... But you’re too good to him.”

“When are you two going to break up?”
