The Taste of Food

[I'm terrible at writing blurbs. If you can, please give the first chapter a look before you go!]

To gather material for her new novel, Zhu Zhi travels all over the country, checking out local delicacies. Only after a friend tells her about it does she learn there's a great place not far from her home. The owner happens to be Ye Shengwan, who dazzled countless people online at first glance a few years ago.

On the first day, Zhu Zhi stops Ye Shengwan in the passageway. "Boss, could I get your WeChat?"

On the second day, Zhu Zhi ignores the full-house sign at the entrance. "It's okay, I can wait."

On the third day, Zhu Zhi brings a friend and deliberately asks her, "Are you this worried about me?"

Her friend, who's been treated like a prop from beginning to end, finally can't take it anymore. "What is going on here?"

Zhu Zhi is utterly unbothered. "I'll flirt with her for a week, then run away."

A week later, Zhu Zhi says, "Waaah, I miss her so much."

One day, Zhu Zhi pretends to be drunk and tries to pin Ye Shengwan against the wall for a kiss. But Ye Shengwan beats her to it, pins her against the wall instead, and gives her three rounds of affectionate attention.

Ye Shengwan: "Was pretending to be drunk fun? Hmm?"

Zhu Zhi wants to speak, but stops herself.

Ye Shengwan: "You're pretty good at running away, aren't you? Hmm?"

Zhu Zhi has something to say, but can't bring herself to say it.

Ye Shengwan: "Didn't you say you were going to top me? Hmm?"

Zhu Zhi is at a loss for tears.
