[This story uses a non-linear timeline. Chapters one to three take place in the present, chapters four to twenty-four are flashbacks, and from chapter twenty-five onward the present is interspersed with flashbacks.]
Wang Jinxue is the great villain of The Heavenly Dao's Chosen Daughter. After the novel ends, the heroine kills her for the sake of all under heaven. Wang Jinxue's soul drifts into a barrier, where she sees the book and finally understands why she died and why she was always inferior to the heroine.
Driven by a heart full of resentment, Wang Jinxue is reborn...
On her first rebirth, Wang Jinxue struggles to deal with the heroine, but can't beat the protagonist's halo and gets taken out.
On her second, third, and Nth rebirths, Wang Jinxue is taken out every time because she can't beat the heroine's halo.
On her ninety-ninth rebirth, Wang Jinxue decides to take the roundabout route and recruit the heroine as her disciple before she can act. That way, the heroine won't just be unable to attack her, she'll have to show her filial respect. But once again, she can't beat the protagonist's halo and gets taken out.
Wang Jinxue angrily tears up the book. "Damn protagonist's halo! I refuse to give up. Come on! Let's fight again!"
On her hundredth time around, Wang Jinxue reaches a conclusion: the protagonist's halo is powerful, so she can't take it on headfirst.
So Wang Jinxue thinks long and hard, then decides not to fight the heroine head-on. She'll try a different approach: seduce her, win her over, then abandon her and destroy her Daoist heart, leaving her unable to live or die.
And in the end...
In Wang Jinxue's demon palace, behind warm red curtains, the usually aloof and pure heroine pins her down and whispers in her ear, "Demon Lord, was your subordinate's service satisfactory?"
Satisfactory, my foot! I was supposed to take down that damn heroine!
[After failing to kill the heroine a hundred times, the villain gets slept with instead. The villain is suffering and has something to say: I can still kill her one more time!]
[At the end of frost and snow, there are you and me.]
[An unkillable villainous Demon Lord x a cold, pure chosen daughter of the righteous path]
Reader's guide:
In this small world, all implausible elements are the author's own half-baked cultivation-world settings.
This story uses a non-linear timeline and contains a great many flashbacks.
It's a light, simple story with weak prose and average logic. Please don't criticize if it's not for you.
A love-hate relationship, with a little angst for flavor.

Blurb:
Jiang Ruoshui is a seductive demoness of the Charm Sect, a wicked fiend in everyone's eyes, a player with ex-girlfriends everywhere, and the lowest rung on her sect's food chain.
Now her sect has forced her to take on a mission to win over four people: Shangshan, the founding ancestor of the righteous path; Shen Mingmei, the little princess of the Medicine Sect; Tan Xi, the undefeated Sword God of the Sword Sect; and Yu Yingwei, the demon clan's Demon Empress.
Jiang Ruoshui cries when she receives her mission: Can I get a different one? QAQ
...Maybe everyone doesn't know, but all four of them are ex-girlfriends she wronged, and every last one is formidable.
Shangshan / Shen Mingmei / Tan Xi / Yu Yingwei: Little Shui, are you ready to accept your big sisters' affection? :)
One day, on the cultivation world's gossip forum:
#What's it like to have ex-girlfriends everywhere?#
Jiang Ruoshui [Anonymous]: Thanks for the invite. Don't date ex-girlfriends who are too powerful, or you'll lose out when you can't beat them! And when all your ex-girlfriends run into each other, they can sort out your whole life over a game of mahjong. I'm exhausted, terrified, and trembling.
From now on, I'll never be a player and keep a harem of fish again. QAQ

A love-interest poll story. I haven't set a canon pairing for the heroine, so it's all up to you.

Theme: Keep going in the face of setbacks, change your fate, and work hard to live
What are they talking about? Mingshuang asked if you did it. Just answer "no". If Mingshuang doesn't believe it, it's called "disbelief". She simply acquiesced and blamed others for "not believing" her. She asked Mingshuang to elope with her, and blamed Mingshuang for thinking she was "this kind of person", but her original words were that she had to choose between herself and Tianjie, so normal people would understand that she was "this kind of person".
Just like that, the hundred times of being killed and the hundred times of distrust have passed like this. Oh my god, I feel heartbroken after watching it at night. It's too cheap. I'm really a scumbag.
It's a good article, but there are too many typos and it makes me tired to read it.
Are we together like this? To be honest, Mingshuang is so annoying.
Great collection of the author, looking forward to the next one.

It's over, there was a lot of glass all the way, I finally had some candy at the end
After watching it, apart from Ming Shuang's character design which really makes people hold their foreheads, it's still pretty good looking.
There are too many typos and the reading experience is a bit poor.
Oops, the way Chanyue and Shuang'er love each other, one would rather betray the world, the other would betray his sweetheart, it's numb.
