I Flirted with a Voice-Acting Superstar

Cool and devoted voice-acting fandom star gong x sunny, talkative author shou

Wu You suffers from insomnia. One night, by chance, he heard a voice and found himself sleeping until late morning without even realizing it.

After that, he became deeply dependent on the CV known as "Yuanjiang Zhishang." Before long, if he couldn't hear that voice, his insomnia would return.

One day, a producer from an audio drama studio sent him a private message asking to adapt his novel.

Wu You kept his composure with an effort. "That's fine, but I want Yuanjiang Zhishang as the lead voice actor."

The producer was close to tears. "Yuanjiang-sama has already retired and isn't taking new work. Can you choose someone else, Youshui-sama?"

Wu You: "Sorry, I only want Yuanjiang Zhishang."

The aloof, legendary Yuanjiang Zhishang, who had been absent from the scene for years, was summoned online by the producer and replied coolly, "Not worthy. Don't bother me."

Rumors immediately spread through the fandom, and everyone speculated that he and the author were at odds.

Not long afterward, Wu You's audio drama went live with a series of triumphant dings.

Promo voice: "Hello, everyone. I'm Yuanjiang Zhishang."

Fans: ...Did I hear that right?

Then came the latest post on Weibo: "Yuanjiang Zhishang: My voice is exclusively authorized to him. @Youshui"

Fans: ...

Is this the last day before the apocalypse? What gossip did I miss?!

Yuanjiang-sama is not only back, he's also made his relationship official. Someone wake me up!

Bonus scene:

"What kind of voice do you want to hear?"

"I want to hear you sing 'Qing Meihu,' 'Wei Feng Tang Tang,' 'Jueshi Xiaoshou,' 'Xiao Man Yao'..."

What does it cost to make your beloved sing spicy songs?

Thanks for asking. I'm in bed, and my voice is hoarse.

But it feels great. I'll do it again.
