Ah, my far too barren youth.

Shu Yao had thought this more than once.

She once believed her school days had been written in tears and bite marks. But looking back, even in those miserable years, there had been someone as perfect and almost divine as Jiang Zhiyue, someone who had made her laugh and love.

That only made her youth seem even more barren by comparison.

Shu Yao looked at Jiang Zhiyue sleeping beside her and reached out to hold her hand. Jiang Zhiyue gave a sleepy murmur and hugged her.

At least, at least she had managed to grasp the shining treasure of her youth.

"I'm a sentimental person, but I'm also too lazy to get close to anyone. All my weak points lie within myself, creating the contradictions unique to me. Then I met Jiang Zhiyue, and both my sensitivity and contradictions shifted to her.

I don't know why, but once I started liking Jiang Zhiyue, it was as if I had begun growing up all over again, like a child. My behavior, gestures, and words were all wildly unstable. I was so childish that even with a little affection, I acted as if I were head over heels. But later, when I finally was head over heels, I only dared to show a little. I did everything I could to hide the rest, making sure it never slipped out through any crack.

It was a love that surged in fiercely, and I was glad to let it surge. I wanted its rushing waters to batter down the heavily guarded gates of her heart. I wanted to claim her heart."
