In her previous life, Shen Yi'an's husband usurped the throne, and rebel troops stormed the palace. As she fled, she was killed by a stray arrow. She thought she must be the most useless eldest princess in history.
When she opened her eyes again, Shen Yi'an discovered she had returned to three years earlier. She and the Grand Commander Wenren Jue had been married for just three months.
They were ill-suited, constantly arguing, and a thoroughly miserable couple.
Shen Yi'an knew Wenren Jue had someone else in his heart, and that was why he had always treated her with disdain. She decided to let him have what he wanted, divorce him, leave the capital's troubles behind, and live a peaceful life.
But the day after she finished writing the divorce papers, Wenren Jue was injured in battle and woke up with amnesia.
Having forgotten the woman he once loved, he now believed Shen Yi'an was the one dearest to his heart.
Everyone knew Grand Commander Wenren Jue despised the eldest princess. Until they saw this...
At a palace banquet, Shen Yi'an glanced a few times at the newly appointed top scholar, Liu Qianhong. Wenren Jue's eyes reddened as he seized her wrist and demanded through gritted teeth, "Ruanruan, why aren't you looking at me? I'm your husband."
Shen Yi'an listened coolly as he called her by her childhood nickname, her expression calm. But her ears turned red.

Blurb for The Chancellor's Pearl in His Palm:
Prince Gong was framed for treason. After a great fire destroyed his estate, his two children disappeared without a trace.
The young princess Zhao Yunyao became separated from her brother. Penniless and with her memory damaged, she ended up at the Marquis of Jing'an's estate, where she became a servant girl.
At a family banquet one day, she was so hungry she could barely stand and knocked over Gu Que's wine cup. She should have been punished, but thanks to a word from him, she was not only spared punishment, but also treated to a table full of delicacies. Grateful, she wanted to repay Gu Que.
So when the marchioness wanted to send Gu Que a personal maid, everyone else trembled with fear, but she alone raised her hand.
Gu Que is a favorite of the emperor and has controlled the Xuanlin Bureau for years. He is a lethal blade coated in poison, able to decide the fate of high officials and nobles with a smile.
Yet he has suffered from a serious illness since childhood, and his legs are paralyzed. He was told he would not live past twenty-five.
From the day he was born, he felt as though he lived in a deadly abyss. He hated everything and wanted to drag everyone into hell with him.
But one day, an innocent, guileless girl named A-Yao came to his estate. He'd only given her a meal on a whim, but she stubbornly stayed by his side.
The entire court trembled when Gu Que's expression darkened, but she wasn't afraid. She smiled at him, her eyes curved like crescent moons.
He smiled coldly and deliberately showed her his paralyzed legs. Instead of running away, she hugged his legs and cried.
He had been disabled for ten years, and she was the first person to ask him, "Young master, does it hurt?"
Gu Que didn't believe her. He lifted her chin, his eyes full of menace. "Do you dare lie to me?"
As if she hadn't heard him, A-Yao asked innocently, "Young master, what would make it stop hurting?"
A chilling smile spread across Gu Que's face, his eyes dark and unfathomable. "Marry me, and then it won't hurt."
He thought she would be terrified and despairing, but to his surprise, she nodded foolishly.
For one brief moment, he no longer wanted to die.
But when A-Yao regained her memories and identity, she completely forgot him and even planned to marry her childhood sweetheart.
On the day the wedding date was set, Gu Que ordered the Xuanlin Guards to surround Prince Gong's estate in the dead of night and stormed into A-Yao's chambers.
Outside, thunder rumbled and rain poured. A-Yao stared at the sinister, ruthless man in his wheelchair, her body trembling uncontrollably.
Gu Que saw nothing but fear for him in those once-innocent eyes, and his heart twisted with pain. He reached out to stroke her porcelain-white cheek, his eyes bloodshot. "Will you come with me?"
The young girl was terrified of him, but still stood her ground. "N-no."
For the first time in his life, Gu Que was powerless to control the outcome.
He laid his heart bare and offered it to her with both hands, but he could not decide whether she would accept it or throw it away.
Notes:
1. This is a fictional setting. Please don't scrutinize the history.
2. The hero is a deranged misanthrope, not a good person. He only cares about the heroine.
3. The heroine isn't clever or scheming. She's an innocent, kindhearted girl. If that's not your thing, please don't read.
4. Sweet romance, 1v1, both leads have only ever been with each other. The hero's legs will recover later.
Theme: Rather than worry and run away, face challenges head-on.
Oh my God, if there hadn't been an assist from his drunken subordinate, the male protagonist would have had to hold it in until the end.
Maybe he is the spy?
Ruanruan: I take it seriously
Brother-in-law: I take it seriously
Princess: I take it seriously too
Very good, let's start to clear up the misunderstanding~
Finished with flowers~
Oh, I want to complain. People open their mouths to speak. If God assists, this life may not be better than the previous one.
There are all kinds of life, and everyone has his or her own way of living. No matter how happy, angry, sad, joyful and fearful, they cannot get rid of it. In fact, the result depends on whether you are persistent and let yourself go!
Overall it was pretty good, but it was a little rushed towards the end.
Nice looking woo woo! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
