Dong Shishi transmigrated into a Mary Sue novel as the vicious female supporting character.
At the age of five, the original girl went missing. On that same day, the heroine was granted a marriage to the crown prince after saving his life.
The two girls looked alike, so the Earl of Shunning's household took the fake heiress, the heroine, back home and played along with the mistake.
Ten years passed, and even the best doctors in the land couldn't cure the crown prince's mental impairment after his severe injuries. The Earl of Shunning's household and the fake heiress's admirers couldn't bear to see her marry a fool, so they found Dong Shishi and asked her to take her place.
Before she returned to the marquis's residence:
Everyone warned her: "Just marry the foolish crown prince, who is about to be stripped of his title. Don't covet anything that belongs to Yuejiao. Our love for her isn't something you can steal with your birthright."
Dong Shishi: "How about a paid stand-in?"
One month later:
When Dong Yuejiao came home, she was horrified to discover that her backup suitors were fighting over Dong Shishi.
The male supporting characters, the backup suitors: "Yuejiao, you're the crown princess by imperial decree. But actually, I like Shishi more."
But when Dong Shishi looked at the backup suitors, those leeks, and their empty purses, she sneered in disdain. Without looking back, she married into the Eastern Palace. The wedding brought great luck, and the crown prince was able to consummate the marriage that very night.
One year later:
The crown prince ascended the throne. With her about to become empress, Dong Shishi couldn't take the new emperor's endless demands any longer and angrily told him to take a concubine.
The new emperor, who had held back for years, could no longer keep his composure. He held her limp little foot against her shoulder and slowly put on a mask.
The new emperor: "All my private funds are with you. I have no money to take a concubine, so you'll have to bear with me, my empress."
As Dong Shishi saw the familiar face beneath the new emperor's mask, the flush drained from her cheeks. Wasn't this the pretty boy she'd tricked out of all his money and dumped as soon as she'd transmigrated here?!
