Raising a Wolf

The first time Leng Mingyu saw Meng Hongqi, he was throwing a palace servant's corpse into a dry well. "Did you kill her?" Leng Mingyu was intrigued by the little boy, who barely reached her waist. Meng Hongqi nodded. His delicate, doll-like face was as cold as a pool a thousand years deep. "Why did you kill her?" He didn't answer. Only later did Leng Mingyu learn that Meng Hongqi, a prince of Great Chu, lived in conditions worse than even the lowest-ranked servants in the Imperial Household Bureau. Most of the old and new scars on his body had been inflicted by that very servant. Leng Mingyu had lost her memories, but not her martial arts skills. "I like you a lot. I'll stay and help you." * Later, after Leng Mingyu regained her memories, she pointed her long sword at the person before her. "Let me go, or I'll kill you." The young emperor, who had survived a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, reached out and grasped the tip of the sword. His usually gloomy, vicious face was now as gentle as water. "Sister Ming, I won't let go." The sharp blade cut into his palm. Warm blood slowly dripped between his fingers onto the smooth stone floor, eerie and oppressive. Meng Hongqi looked at Leng Mingyu, his eyes filled with twisted emotions and the madness of a love he could never attain. * You said you'd stay with me, but in the end, I was the only one who took it seriously. If that's how it is, then I'll lock you by my side. * A melodramatic, clichéd romance about an amnesiac martial arts master heroine and a darkened prince whose love goes unanswered. The blurb is heavy, but the story is lighthearted. Thanks for adding it to your collection. The male lead gets put through the wringer, but the female lead doesn't. The male lead is a true yandere.
