[1] Song Can has a crush on Xi Mu.

After their first kiss, he turns cold and denies everything. "You're so young, miss. Why are you trying to pin this on me?"

After they get together, he says, "I don't believe in marriage, and I don't want kids. If we get tired of each other, we'll split up."

He spends days and nights holed up in his studio making music, won't let her in, but lets other people come and go as they please.

Song Can is tired.

[2] After they break up, Song Can disappears.

Xi Mu panics. He searches for her without sleeping or resting, nearly going mad. His friends tell him to give up.

He won't listen. At last, he finds her and kneels on one knee, reverently holding out a diamond ring to propose.

But Song Can smiles sweetly and turns him down. "I've thought it over. Maybe we're only suited to being friends."

"Loving someone sincerely is exhausting. I want to date my way across all seven continents and four oceans." Xi Mu is horrified and filled with regret.

[3] After finally persuading her to move back in, he watches her stop caring about him and feels utterly lost and miserable.

One day, he sees her all dressed up. Xi Mu can't take it anymore. He grips her wrist tightly and smiles darkly. "You really think of me as just a friend now?"

Song Can is surprised for a moment, then smiles brightly. "Yep. This time, you'll have to vet the guy for me."

The door shuts. A fist slams into it with a bang.

Outside, Song Can lifts her chin, the meaning behind her smile lingering, her sweetness off the charts.

[Little scene]

One day, Xi Mu leans gloomily against the balcony railing with a cigarette in hand. Suppressing a cough, he pretends not to care as he watches the girl chatting and smiling with someone nearby, but the sight leaves a bitter taste in his mouth.

She used to stop him from smoking. Now she really acts like he doesn't exist?

"Aren't you going to check on him?" her friend asks.

Song Can glances over, unconcerned. "No. This is a necessary step on his way to becoming a henpecked husband."

Her friend: ???

On the balcony, Xi Mu can't stand being ignored any longer. His deep eyes turn red as he strides over and crouches in front of her. The former wolf king is as docile as a house dog, his voice hoarse and forlorn. "Cankan, my throat hurts. Take care of me..."

A sweet darling adored by fate x a cold, heartless academic powerhouse

At first, Chu Ying walks up to a handsome, lonely man sitting in a shadowy corner. He's the renowned academic genius at their school.

She carefully crouches beside him. "Don't be sad. I... I'll look after you from now on."

The man glances up at her without emotion and curls his lips in silent mockery.

Later, rain pours from the sky. The carefully prepared birthday gift box she brought is thrown into the trash. Her scalding tears mingle with the rain, and the cold wind chills her heart.

Later still, Chu Ying meets a sweet junior student who looks about eighty percent like Chu Yi.

The junior is so sweet, just like a cute little mascot come to life, constantly calling her "Sis" and following her around all day.

Word around campus is that the campus beauty is finally dating someone. It's even a trendy older-woman-younger-man relationship.

[Little scene] One day, Chu Ying walks shoulder to shoulder with her junior across campus. As they pass Chu Yi while chatting and laughing, her heart clenches, but she holds her head high and walks past as though he were invisible.

The next second, she's lifted off her feet and held around the waist. No matter how much Chu Ying struggles, the man refuses to let go.

For no apparent reason, she's carried into a room. He pins her firmly against the door, licking and gently biting her lips, his voice hoarse. "Sis?"

"I can call you Sis, too."

"Let go. I have to meet someone."

"Who? That kid?" Chu Yi smiles, lips curling in mockery. "Didn't you always like my muscles? Didn't you sneak a peek, too?"

Chu Ying stubbornly lifts her chin and glares at him.

She watches as he unbuttons his shirt and lets it fall to the floor. His belt buckle clicks.

The man lowers his eyes, an ominous, ferocious aura rising from him.

"Looking for someone else? Then guess whether I'll let you walk out of this room... Sis."
