After Being Reborn, I Laid an Egg

Rong Li was an unfavored son of a marquis's household. He caused no trouble, joined no cliques, and happily stayed in his own little courtyard, writing stories. In his previous life, however, an accident led him into someone else's trap. He became entangled with a strange man and eventually met a tragic end.

Given another chance, he decided to go see what the father of his future child looked like. After all, all the men he wrote about were breathtakingly handsome, so surely his wouldn't be too far off... right?

Although the father of his child was exactly his type, a few months later, Rong Li stared in a daze at what he had given birth to... an egg? Had he written too many stories and started hallucinating?

And that little bird hatching his egg, you haven't even grown all your feathers yet. What are you doing hatching an egg?

Chu Xingzhou: Chirp!

Little scene: Rong Li had been feeling a little troubled lately. After the bird he'd picked up recovered from its injuries, it refused to leave. And not only did it stay, it clung to him all day, offering him pine nuts and asking him to pet its feathers. How strange.

He poked the little red bird on the table, which had its head in a teacup, drinking water, and asked seriously, "Who exactly are you?"

Chu Xingzhou, poked off balance and plunging headfirst into the water, froze with his soaked little head sticking up. Had he been found out?

Note: Includes childbirth, in the form of an egg. Read with caution if this bothers you.
