Commonplace

- This is badly written, read at your own risk -

The extra chapters were supposed to be a treat, but I couldn't figure out how to set them up properly. Read at your own risk! Read at your own risk!

The first time Zhou Jiwang saw Shen Yuhe, a painfully clichéd scene played out before him:

Just as it had countless times in novels and idol dramas, daylight faded, peach blossoms surrounded her, the wind lifted her long hair, petals caught in its strands, and she turned around, as beautiful as a masterpiece.

As a top-tier star, he had filmed scenes like this dozens of times.

He should have been immune to it.

After all, ever since birth, he had been unable to understand emotions. He was a monster who could only pretend to have feelings by acting and imitation.

Maybe she was beautiful enough to make anyone lose themselves. Zhou Jiwang fell for the cliché and, as if possessed, wanted to pluck the petal from her hair.

-

When his other personality, the mysterious and immensely powerful head of the Zhou family, awoke, he was shocked to discover that the foolish personality he'd let run wild had fallen for a breathtaking woman.

He thought he was incapable of love. He believed he could watch indifferently as she fell in love with his other personality, but at some point, just thinking of her made his heart race and his whole body burn. The thought of them kissing drove him mad, and jealousy filled every corner of him.

He desperately wanted to possess her.

They're both monsters. Why should the other one get her love?

He couldn't accept it.

Theme: I have a bright pearl, long locked away by the dust of worldly toil. Now that the dust has cleared, its light shines forth, illuminating countless green peaks.
