Has the Little Mute Bloomed Today?

Green vines climbed over a touch of red, and a four-pointed cypress vine flower bloomed by the window before Luo Qi even noticed. He began to imagine there was a flower fairy hidden inside it. But the next day, when he came home from school and opened the window, he found a little child standing there.

"Are you a flower fairy? You must be, right? Otherwise, where did my flower go? If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes."

"My mom's nagging me to practice piano again. Do you think my piano playing sounds good? If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes."

"I don't want to play piano anymore. I want to play video games. That's my dream. Will you support me? If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes."

Later, Luo Qi worked at an internet cafe, became a streamer, and went pro. Standing on the world championship podium, he said, "Today, to win the championship, I have to thank my teammates and coach. Without their company and encouragement, I never would have made it this far. I also want to thank someone else. I believe you're sitting in front of your computer right now, watching me without blinking. If it weren't for you back then, I wouldn't have had the courage to take this path. Thank you. I'm so happy. What about you? Did you bloom today?"

As soon as Luo Qi finished speaking, his phone rang.

He received a text message: So many flowers bloomed.

As he grew up, Luo Qi came to understand that his little mute wasn't a flower fairy at all. They were a four-pointed star scattered among humankind, destined to be different, their light restrained but dazzling enough to take his breath away.
