[Both leads are reborn]
[Content warnings]
1. The leads misunderstood each other in their past lives. The male lead did not kill the female lead. She was murdered through a conspiracy between the second male and second female leads. The male lead never loved or slept with the second female lead, not even once. The male lead is not a member of the Lin family. His mother is obsessive, and she was the one who gave the female lead the birth control decoction. The female lead has only one guard, A Hai, and that's it. The female and male leads make a great team in their careers. There will be three second male leads. No white-moonlight or substitute tropes. Both leads have flaws and are not perfect people. The female lead will have a relationship with the second male lead. [More warnings will be added when they come up.]
2. Set in a fictional world inspired by the Tang Dynasty. All the worldbuilding serves the plot.
3. Spoiler for survival's sake: the male lead and Lin Wan are not biological siblings. Find out why in the story.
4. Over-the-top melodrama.
5. Readers who only want chaste romances, proceed with caution.
Coming soon: A Fine Son-in-Law from the Examination Lists
Jian Mingshu is the eldest legitimate daughter of the Jian family. For generations, the Jian family of Jiangning Prefecture has dealt in gold jewelry, and their shop is a well-known, long-established business. Mr. Jian has more money and gold than he knows what to do with. Wanting to enter high society despite being a merchant, he decides to find a distinguished son-in-law for his only daughter, Jian Mingshu.
A future son-in-law naturally has to be groomed from an early age. Mr. Jian casts a wide net, selecting several impoverished scholars for Jian Mingshu and lavishing them with money and gifts, all so he can choose a groom from among those who pass the imperial exams. Lu Chang is one of the fish in the Jian family's pond. Jian Mingshu falls for him at first sight and gives him her heart early on.
Unfortunately, Lu Chang isn't interested, and resents the Jian family's attempt to make him repay their kindness. He is never kind to Jian Mingshu.
On the day the provincial exam results are posted, Jian Mingshu and Lu Chang finally fall out. They sever ties and settle their debts with each other.
That should have been the end of it. They should have gone their separate ways and married other people, but then...
Before Lu Chang has even left Jiangning Prefecture, disaster strikes the Jian family, and Jian Mingshu is badly injured. To repay his debt, Lu Chang saves her. But when she opens her eyes, she has forgotten everything about her past.
What now?
With the rest of the Jian family dead, Jian Mingshu is the only one left. Lu Chang has no choice but to take her to the capital.
To keep Jian Mingshu from developing those improper feelings again, Lu Chang lies to her.
"You're my younger sister."
And so Jian Mingshu becomes Lu Mingshu, and later the younger sister of the new top scholar, making her one of the most sought-after women in the capital.
Later, Lu Chang regrets it bitterly.

Theme: No matter the dynasty, women should be independent and self-reliant if they want to live a fulfilling life.
The male and female protagonists are both speechless, raising a tiger to make trouble, and in the end they stab themselves for the sake of their sister. In order to save the heroine and die with her sister, they stab themselves in the vital points? The Holy Father and the Holy Mother are in pairs, and they hate to kill their wives. In both lives, they were not careful about their younger sisters, but in the end they were reluctant to kill them? Pseudo-bone love without knowing it.
The back part is really too confusing, you can watch it at three times the speed, the logic is all in service of the plot.
Coming from the noble son-in-law at the bottom of the list, I finished reading it in one go!
Oh my God, Lin Wan is so capable. I have to give her extra drama. Surrounded by n number of masters, she is allowed to hide from everyone's sight. She is allowed to get close to the heroine and kidnap the heroine. She is also allowed to seriously injure the hero. These men's martial arts training has been in vain, so they can commit suicide in the palace with their swords.
Did the author not like this article and didn't write any extras... It's so uncomfortable π_π
It's good to watch. I want to watch the children's episode.
This book is really well written! I think the subject matter attracts me more than the noble son-in-law... It's just not sweet enough! ! ! !
Alas, on the one hand, I feel that it is finally over, but on the other hand, I feel a little regretful. The follow-up is not developed, and the character is incomplete: the male protagonist is completely whitewashed in my case, but as the plot goes on, the male protagonist becomes more and more like a tool man, and is not even as important and as existential as the second male protagonist... I feel both regret and relief.
That kind of princess disease may be something that all women have. By the way, cats were domesticated by Chinese ancestors and used to catch mice, so the pronunciation of "Miao" is similar to "meow". Chinese civilization is the only ancient civilization.
Nice! ! I chased my wife through several books in one go! !
