One-line blurb: I eloped and married the older brother I've had a crush on.

Foster family > Mutual pining > Marriage before love > Secret workplace marriage
1.
Xu Yunxi knows that Li Mocen only married her because he was pressured by the old master of the Li family.
He's the pride of heaven, the brightest ray of sunlight at the top of the pyramid.
And she's just a poor little thing taken in by the Li family.
He only thinks of her as his little sister. Before the wedding, and after it too.
She's not the least bit attractive to him as a woman.
Even when they share a bed, he never crosses the line.
She thinks they'll go on like this forever.
Until one night, the man comes home late from a work function and traps her in the corner of the sofa.
The faint smell of alcohol carries an unfamiliar sense of pressure as it closes in.
Xu Yunxi's heart pounds as she stiffens and asks softly, "Did you drink too much, brother?"
"Who are you calling your brother?" His scorching breath falls by her ear. The man bites her soft earlobe, correcting her word by word. "I'm your husband."
[A fiercely possessive, ultra-dotting older brother x an independent, gentle, sweet girl]
From the heroine's perspective: A crush comes true
From the hero's perspective: A carefully laid plan
In short, this is the story of a big bad wolf tricking the little rabbit he raised himself into coming back to the wolf's den, then slowly devouring her.
2.
Xu Yunxi has always thought that Li Mocen only gradually fell in love with her after they got married.
Until one day, she happens upon a thick stack of old postcards in a desk drawer, all of them unsent.
They were mailed from places across North America and Europe, and every one was addressed to her.
She picks one up at random and sees words written in elegant, vigorous running script:
[Another Christmas has come. Heavy snow is falling in New Haven.
The icy snowflakes land on my lips.
I'm starting to miss you again.]
It turns out that through every day she secretly missed him, he had been missing her too.
> Little scene
During her lunch break, Xu Yunxi borrows the rest area inside the CEO's office to take a nap.
At some point, the man who had been working lies down beside her.
Half asleep, she feels the air around them gradually grow warmer.
Xu Yunxi opens her sleepy eyes and pleads softly, "Brother, let's wait until we get home tonight..."
"What did you call me?" The culprit behind her exhaustion slowly brushes his knuckles over her swollen, red lips.
His voice low, he asks, "You called me that so nicely last night. Want me to help you remember?"
The scene comes back to her. Xu Yunxi buries her burning face in the crook of his neck and murmurs, "Husband."
"Mm." The man rubs her crown, smiling with satisfaction. "Remember that. Don't call me the wrong thing next time."
No one knows how many years he waited to go from being called "brother" to being called "husband."

>
Xin Yang first meets Zhong Wangcen in the lobby of the Institute of Intelligent Engineering at Jiangzhou University.
It's a scorching 40-degree day. The man wears a shirt and trousers, his deep-set eyes and brows set off by his cool, pale skin. His refined elegance is tempered by the meticulous restraint unique to researchers.
Xin Yang thinks he's Ding Yizhou's classmate and asks him to deliver something to Ding Yizhou.
She only learns later that he's Ding Yizhou's advisor, and the youngest professor at Jiang University.
>
Five years into their engagement, Xin Yang discovers that Ding Yizhou is in love with someone else.
She asks to call off the engagement, but her mother refuses.
Xin Yang is an only child, and the Xin family has chosen Ding Yizhou as their son-in-law. They are counting on him to grow the family factory into a thriving business.
In a fit of anger, Xin Yang goes to a bar to drown her sorrows, where she runs into Zhong Wangcen.
This academic superstar, with a face like it was sculpted to perfection, sits at a dimly lit bar and asks why she's drinking alone.
Maybe it's the alcohol, or maybe she's bewitched by his looks, but Xin Yang can't help confiding in him: "My mom won't let me break off the engagement. She says I have to find a better son-in-law than Ding Yizhou first..."
Ding Yizhou is a top university graduate with excellent grades and a good-looking face. "Who'd be willing to marry into a family if they were better than him?"
Xin Yang tilts her head back to take another drink, but the man takes her glass away.
She turns to him in confusion and sees him gazing at her with deep, dark eyes as he says slowly and clearly, "I would."
>
Xin Yang has always thought that Ding Yizhou was the reason she and Zhong Wangcen crossed paths.
Only later does she learn that Ding Yizhou became Zhong Wangcen's student because of her.
She first met Zhong Wangcen ten years ago.
And in all those years, he quietly did so much for her, beyond the reach of her gaze.

When Xin Yang asks to break off the engagement, Ding Yizhou doesn't take her seriously.
They grew up together, and she always puts him first.
She loves him even more than she loves her parents.
Besides, the Xin family has chosen him as their son-in-law.
No one can take his place.
He never expects the Xin family to agree to end the engagement!
Only then does Ding Yizhou panic, rushing to find Xin Yang early one morning.
But beneath the wisteria trellis in the Xin family's courtyard,
he sees the girl who used to follow him everywhere being held in the arms of a tall, long-legged man, who is kissing her passionately.
And that man is... his advisor!
Theme: Love and companionship
I was convinced. The male and female protagonists only kiss after reading Chapter 63. The key is that they haven't made it clear yet. I only read this chapter based on the principle of not wasting money. The novel felt to me like it was very long-winded and tedious. The male and female protagonists made random guesses about each other. They never made it clear and allowed the guesses to amplify in their hearts. It made me even more anxious.
It's really outrageous to watch!!!!!
I'm really speechless. Let's forget the misunderstanding in the past. The more I read the next twenty chapters, the more angry I get. The heroine is really speechless. I just want to see how she will come back to her true self in the end, but this is the result? It's too painful to spend this money
I didn't expect the ending before I told you about the misunderstanding 🤔
I'm convinced, in the heroine's mind, the hero is this kind of person...
Two talkative people fell in love, and the heroine behaved disgustingly. She wanted this person but couldn't accept the family's big business. I didn't see the heroine willing to go to the hero. The hero praised the heroine for the heroine. It was a waste of money to read this article.
Although I really like the pulling plot, the author also writes it very well. But this plot can actually appear before Chapter 20
The misunderstanding is solved only in the last part of the text. I have never seen such a frustrating and mechanical way of making the male and female protagonists misunderstand each other. . .
I spent 10 yuan in vain. It doesn't look good at all. It's boring.
This tumultuous ending is really a bit unsatisfying.
