He Wasn't Famous When I Broke Up with My First Love

An Xiaoshi is a member of an obscure domestic idol group. He has dazzling looks but cannot carry a tune.

His first love is also a member of the group, with a face handsome enough to shatter the heavens and a thoroughly laid-back heart. He has absolutely no desire to make it big.

Unlike his boyfriend, An Xiaoshi is ambitious and eager to become famous.

Knowing full well that singing and dancing won't get him anywhere, he wants to become an actor instead. With his hard work and acting talent, he should be more successful than he is now.

By the time the group disbanded, they went solo, and finally broke up, An Xiaoshi had no regrets.

If he could choose again, he still wouldn't regret it.

He just never expected his first love, who was still obscure when they split, to become an overnight sensation three years later.

An Xiaoshi, a third-rate actor, feels a little awkward about appearing in the same production as his hugely famous, dazzlingly popular first love, Gu Yixuan.

If it were simply a matter of being favored or looked down on, An Xiaoshi wouldn't have trouble understanding it.

What's intriguing is that Gu Yixuan still acts as clingy and affectionate toward him as he did before they broke up.

It's as if there had never been a rift between them, no coldness, and no... three years apart.

The tenderness of their reunion embrace makes An Xiaoshi ache even more than the intimacy they shared when they parted.

Unable to tell whether Gu Yixuan is lost in the role or An Xiaoshi has lost his heart, the director's call cuts through the rising tension: "Cut!"

An Xiaoshi hurriedly pushes Gu Yixuan away and says, "That's a wrap, that's a wrap."

Gu Yixuan: "Wrapping this early shows no ambition."

Premise: No matter when it is, have the courage to begin and the courage to part.
