Zhong Yurong and her husband had been in love for six years. They built a business together and worked hard side by side, going from college sweethearts to bride and groom. Their life was peaceful and happy.
However, the day before her birthday, while looking for folic acid to help prepare her body for pregnancy, she spotted flirtatious messages from another woman on a tablet where her husband was still logged into WeChat.
After discovering that her husband had been emotionally cheating with a college classmate, she sat numb and dazed for two hours before confronting him. But he said, "Can you stop making a fuss over nothing? She's just like a younger sister to me. There's nothing between us."
She held back her tears, put all her feelings away, and calmly gathered evidence.
On their wedding anniversary, she asked Shen Ze for a divorce, divided their assets, and walked away.
Shen Ze declared, "You'll regret this. Who else would treat you well once you've left me?"
Two months later, an older relative arranged a blind date for her. To her surprise, the match was Lu Heng, her ex-husband's sworn business rival.
She didn't think it was a coincidence. She assumed he was interested in what she knew about her ex-husband's business and wanted to join forces to take him down.
That suited her just fine. She was still furious, and she wanted the same thing.
It wasn't until after they got engaged that she happened to hear his friend warn him, "She was ruthless enough to turn on the man who used to share her bed. You'd better be careful!"
Lu Heng lowered his eyes and smiled faintly. "If she hurts me someday, then I must have done something wrong. If I die, I'll deserve it."
Later, her ex-husband knelt in the rain, begging her to take him back. "Yurong, I regret it. Please give me one more chance."
Before Zhong Yurong could answer, Lu Heng hurried over with an umbrella and draped his suit jacket over her shoulders.
In front of everyone, this untouchable business legend said softly,
"A Rong, don't waste your time on someone who doesn't matter. Let's go home."
She looked up in confusion. He gazed down at her, looking so nervous, as if he truly loved her.
But how could that be?
They'd barely crossed paths before.
Many years later, Lu Heng, that aloof and untouchable man, finally lowered his head for love and admitted that she had been the moonlight hidden in his heart for years.
He had been waiting for her to get divorced... for a very long time.
