Sir, Times Have Changed

More than 3,700 years ago, for reasons unknown, humanity was suddenly petrified. Millions of years of technological civilization were wiped out.

After countless years, Earth returned to its primitive state, leaving behind hundreds of millions of strange stone statues.

Then, as the sun and moon revolved and the stars shifted, humanity finally appeared on Earth once more. With the arrival of the extraterrestrial Otsutsuki, the newly reborn primitive humans started from scratch, developing the unique ability to sense natural energy. They became ninjas who could hop around everywhere, and formed the distinctive cultures of the Five Great Nations.

Then, during the Warring States era, a stone statue suddenly cracked open out of thin air...

And an onion head sprang out.

He invented walkie-talkies out of thin air, then developed them into smartphones, putting the Yamanaka clan out of work.

Then he invented radar, putting most sensory ninjas out of work.

He even came up with firearms and ammunition, driving most makers of explosive tags into bankruptcy so badly their own mothers wouldn't recognize them.

His house was warm in winter and cool in summer. It had electric lights, powered waterwheels, airplanes, tanks, cannons, and even atomic bombs. He spurred the country's economy forward and put it at the forefront of the world.

A massive ninja unemployment crisis was unfolding right before everyone's eyes.

The onion head declared, "Why be a ninja? Technology is the primary productive force. Come learn math and science with me. Even ordinary people can become ninjas in an instant, and they won't even fear the Otsutsuki."
