The Game I Was Playing Shut Down

The game I was in has shut down. ...It wasn't some highly realistic 3D game, and it didn't have a noteworthy story. It was just an insignificant mobile game, churned out under a fast-food business model to get players to spend money on gacha pulls. And I wasn't an important NPC, either. I was just a card depicting the character you liked in one of their many appearances. A game like this is about to shut down. What a shame... I still wanted to say goodbye to you one more time. Before you read: 1. Written in first person. Purely introspective. I started writing the day I saw the shutdown announcement, and I'll finish on the day the game officially shuts down. Updates whenever inspiration strikes. 2. Yes, I wrote this because a mobile game I love is shutting down. 3. Rationally, I understand, but emotionally, I can't take the blow. 4. ...It's not exactly a tragedy. I just wanted to write a story about "the character I like loving me, even though we can't express our feelings to each other." 5. A game I love really is shutting down, but the game and protagonist in this story aren't based on anything real. Theme: Even if our feelings can't reach each other, the love we feel is real.
