Stirring Up Trouble

Song Muer is the most commercially valuable new-generation actress, and also the most hated. She's been subjected to more smears than all the other actresses of her generation combined.

One day, she was photographed acting intimately with Ding Yao, the heir to a shipping empire, at a cocktail party. The photo shot straight to the top of the trending list, and the haters celebrated.

[Another wild sparrow dreaming of becoming a phoenix! She's got a reputation like that. Which rich family would want her?]

[This woman is so tacky, and shameless too. She got on the trending list again today by throwing herself at a man. She's an embarrassment to the whole city of Hong Kong.]

[Young Master Ding is famous in the industry for keeping himself pure. Every time someone tries to ride his coattails, they get what's coming to them the next second! Waiting for our Sister Muer to get hers.]

[Strongly agree with the person above. Waiting for the “top actress” to get face-slapped. Smiling face!]

But the internet trolls and haters never got to see Song Muer get what was coming to her. Instead, they got face-slapped.

Ding Yao, the man at the center of the trending story, personally clarified things through Xinya Entertainment, the company he ran:

@Xinya Entertainment: “The boss says he's pursuing her. Stop making it harder for him to make things official!”

Haters: “?”

All they could do was nitpick Song Muer's overexposure and humble background, claiming she wasn't good enough for Young Master Ding.

While public opinion raged, business tycoon Ye Pei spoke on behalf of a friend: Song Muer was Song Jie's only daughter. Whoever married her would inherit the Song family's hundred-billion fortune.

Brother Yao: “??”

I've got plenty of family money. I just want a wife!
