Sugary Sweet

Genuine fairy x sweet on the outside, dark on the inside

Rising traditional Chinese painter x business tycoon

1) At sixteen, Xia Mingxi finished reading her first romance novel, Sweetly Clingy. Only after reading it did she realize she might have fallen for someone. He had been part of her world for as long as she could remember, like an older brother.

Everything that followed was just a matter of growing more certain and more anxious, while still harboring hope and sweetness. She wanted to grow up quickly and tell him her secret on her coming-of-age day. But before that day could arrive, her hopes were shattered.

She heard him say to someone with absolute certainty, “Mingxi is my little sister.”

2) After studying in Hong Kong and returning home, Xia Mingxi was already over eighteen. Born into a prominent family and stunningly beautiful, she had also become one of the most promising rising forces in traditional Chinese painting.

She had no shortage of admirers.

She turned them down gently and handled it all perfectly, but she never expected that beneath the dusky evening sky, Lu Chao would trap her between the car and his arms. Anger and anxiety were hard to hide in his eyes. “Mingxi, don't you want your big brother anymore?”

Lu Chao had always thought of Xia Mingxi as his little sister, until one day he watched her smile as she walked toward another man. In that moment, the reason and intelligence he prided himself on crumbled to dust.

He had spoiled the girl as she grew up, and he was going to keep spoiling her.
