Lin Jianwei firmly believed that a forcibly picked melon was sweet.

She watched the impoverished young man. She didn't care that he loved someone else, nor that he had rejected her before.

She believed in only one thing: true love had to be fought for.

As it happened,

Shen Guipu thought the same thing as he watched her.

Lin Jianwei was a classic wicked female villain.

Rich and spoiled, lazy, and determined to force a poor college student into a relationship.

Shen Guipu was the archetypal power behind the scenes.

Gentle on the surface, ruthless underneath, and a mysterious, wealthy relative of the poor college student.

After Shen Guipu foiled her third attempt to get her way, Lin Jianwei angrily issued a threat: from now on, either she or he could stay, and they would be enemies for life.

At a birthday party, someone deliberately stirred up trouble, bringing the two of them face-to-face.

Neither looked at the other.

Until the parrot Shen Guipu had carefully raised accidentally flew out and enthusiastically landed on Lin Jianwei.

In Shen Guipu's voice, it said, "Jianwei, acting cute won't work."

The room fell silent.

The parrot kept repeating: "All right, Weiwei, come here, give me a hug, "
