A Heartbeat Out of Control

Rumor has it that Chu Nanfeng, heir to the Chu family, is nearly thirty, avoids women, and dislikes them because a girl played with his feelings while he was studying abroad, then disappeared without a trace.

One day, Chu Nanfeng came home and saw his half-brother introducing his girlfriend to the family.

The girl was his ex, Ning Yue.

Ning Yue was helping a friend out by pretending to be his girlfriend to fend off his family's pressure to get married. She never imagined she'd run into her ex-boyfriend, and memories of the past made her tremble inside.

Her friend, oblivious to everything, introduced them. "This is my big brother, Chu Nanfeng!"

Ning Yue's voice quavered. "B-Big brother!"

Chu Nanfeng's eyes were cold and dark. He let out a soft laugh. "Sister-in-law?"
