You Are My World, My Dazzling Galaxy

[The Ex-Wife's Revenge]

Eight years ago, when Shen Xingchen had just been brought to the Shen family, Shen Si flashed a wicked, flirtatious smile and tugged at her little braid. "Hey, blondie, call me Big Brother."

Without a word, Shen Xingchen lunged forward and bit down on his arm, leaving a tooth mark.

That year, Shen Xingchen was twelve, and Shen Si was eighteen.

The bite mark stayed on Shen Si's arm for eight years. Shen Xingchen secretly loved him for eight years, too.

But Shen Si had no heart.

Eight years, nearly three thousand days and nights. Shen Xingchen watched the women at Shen Si's side change one after another, like scenes on a revolving lantern. There was never a place for her beside him.

After eight years of waiting, her heart finally turned cold.

At twenty, Shen Xingchen went to America.

Shen Si suddenly felt as if a huge piece of his heart had gone missing.

Five years later, Shen Xingchen returned to China.

When he got the news, Shen Si couldn't tell whether he was overjoyed or furious. He rushed to the airport like a madman and gripped Shen Xingchen's shoulders. His eyes reddened as he ground out, "Shen Xingchen, you finally decided to come back! Is this why the Shen family raised you, so you could run off to America for all these years without a word, like an ungrateful wretch?"

Shen Xingchen's expression was calm. She smiled politely, keeping her distance. "I will never forget the kindness the Shen family showed in raising me, so I've come back. From now on, I'll stay by Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle and Auntie's side and take good care of them. Also, I'll respect you just as I would my own brother, Third Brother."

Those words, "Third Brother," made the empty spot in Shen Si's heart seize with pain.

Shen Si gritted his teeth. "Shen Xingchen, don't call me Third Brother. I'm not your brother."

Shen Xingchen's lips curled into a smile. She readily changed her address. "All right, Mr. Shen."

Shen Si: "..."
