During a bandit mission, Team Guy encountered a girl named Nia who claimed to be a soldier in the Scout Regiment. She used a device called the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, which they had never seen before, and lived according to a completely different set of rules.

As they gradually got to know Nia, they discovered that she came from another world. They decided to help her return to her own world. Along the way, they learned that Nia's homeland had been destroyed, and that the conflict in her world was growing increasingly extreme. They were powerless to interfere or save it, and could only watch as she walked alone toward destruction.

Neji thought his connection with the other world was about to end.

Years later, Neji died protecting Hinata during the Fourth Shinobi World War.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in the very world he had once failed to save, a cruel place teeming with Titans

“, Guy!”

From somewhere beyond, he heard Nia's voice
