Shen Mingguang had lost her memory. She was told she was the prime minister's third daughter, and that her fiance was her father's political enemy, Li Fengxu, a sickly prince whom a revered monk had flatly declared would not live to see twenty.

On their wedding day, Li Fengxu walked a few extra steps while greeting the bride, then coughed up blood and fainted in the wedding hall.
