Lu Meinan is a broke, small-time amateur personal shopper with barely any clients.
Her biggest client was recently cheated on.
She wrote a low-profile Mary Sue novel.
It's called Let Me Take Care of You.
Gu Xu is a mega-famous, all-purpose CEO. He's rich.
He was cheated on.
His younger brother bought the rights to a low-profile Mary Sue novel for him, planning to make it into a movie. The novel is called:
Let Me Take Care of You.
A brooding, domineering, ridiculously cool Dragon Proud Sky (scratch that) hero X a sweet, airheaded heroine with a bizarre train of thought, as pure as ice and snow (scratch that)
A ridiculous, lighthearted romance
No abandoning this story
(The original title was Let Me Take Care of You. Renamed on 2020-04-13. Mephistopheles is the devil in Faust.)
Notes and expectations:
1. The hero is sharp-tongued on the outside, but kindhearted and depressed underneath. The heroine seems like a sweet little bunny, but is actually sharp-tongued and unbeatable in an argument.
2. One-on-one romance, virtually no angst, sweet and silly.
3. There are gay supporting characters.
4. The author studied literary theory and dabbles in philosophy. I have a moral compass, but I can't write, nor do I want to write, a love as pure as crystal. I just want to write a story of mutual redemption, and redemption has to begin with reality.
2020-01-18: The author has given up on saving this story commercially. It's now just a passion project.
My new story, Dog Game Designer, is updating now~
Swooning version:
An Tao likes muscular hunks.
She found one at her company.
And fell in love.
Serious version:
An Tao's game adaptation rights have finally been sold.
After seeing a fellow writer's novel get radically altered, then getting blasted by both readers and players for cashing in, An Tao decides to learn from their experience. She goes undercover at Pear Factory, the company that bought her game rights, posing as a rookie writer and game planner.
Pear Factory is huge, and the food is great, but something seems off at the studio where she works. Especially Chen Shuye: a genius, a gym-or-die fanatic, a borderline case of split personality, a nice-guy CEO who can switch into domineering mode at the push of a button, and a muscular hunk. There's definitely something off about him...
Chen Shuye: Got any opinions, kid?
An Tao: ...No, no, not at all.
Chen Shuye: ^_^
A career story about game planning, told in episodic form, with a lively and sweet romance.
Come explore the whole process of making a game, from planning to launch~
A novice writer and junior game planner heroine X a genius lead game planner hero. Includes some soccer elements. The author is a Manchester United fan, but won't put other teams down, so read with confidence.
The hero is a muscular hunk! A muscular hunk! A muscular hunk! A muscleman built like a professional athlete!!!!
A quiet heroine with a running inner monologue X a nice guy outside of work who turns into a domineering boss at work, and might have a split personality.
Theme: In the end, none of us can be responsible for someone else's life, but we can take responsibility together for the future we share.
If the needle doesn't poke, the needle won't poke! I originally read the synopsis and thought it was the kind of novel about a tyrant who doesn't need to be carried in my mind. To be honest, I really started reading it because I thought it was silly and sweet, because I have been really anxious recently and wanted to read something relaxing to change my mind. But when I looked at it, I found it interesting. I had read an article about literature and art by my senior brother before, and I thought to myself, "No wonder, he is the author of that article." I really liked it, and I liked many of the ideas. I am the kind of person who mixes reality and ideals. If there is someone who really understands me and I like me, I might really die for him, or I might sacrifice myself in pursuit of recognized ideas. I think having ideals is really the best thing. The biggest problem for literary and artistic young people is that they are uneducated. Now I am talking very confusingly and have no logic at all! Anyway, I'm very happy to see a novel I like. Thanks to the author for creating so many three-dimensional characters.
It's really great!!!! I like you so much. I feel that your writing is not good enough, or that you lack an opportunity, an opportunity for the article to be seen by more people. Although it is a bit fake and empty, I believe that the article you write now is just a matter of accumulation. I really hope that the novel can become popular and be read by more people. It has been a long time since I have seen a male protagonist with such a plump character. It makes me feel that I am not watching a character who is set as a male protagonist, but watching his world. Thank you for bringing us this book. I hope you will continue to work~
I really like the dialogue in this article, as if I am reading Rabindranath Tagore. I have been far away from literature since I chose engineering in college, but I still like the faint melancholy and philosophical temperament of this article. I am afraid that the author will say that I am uneducated. In fact, it reminds me of the world of Sophie, and I reconcile with the world in the dialogue.

This extra episode is so cruel π_π
This chapter is really good about Russian literature, and the dialogue has a strong sense of drama.
So touching. Woo hoo, magical author
The author is worthy of being a graduate student in literature. He can even write a short paper while composing. I envy him hahaha. I think DaDa's story is very sophisticated, and pits must be filled. The characters' values are very correct, the logic is clear, and the emotions are smooth. At first glance, it seems that DaDa has carefully thought about it. The output of values through dialogue is very speculative (as expected of a graduate student in literature). But there are also obvious shortcomings, that is, the long dialogues seem awkward, and the expression of daily dialogue is very stiff. It is my personal opinion, so don't comment if you don't like it (maybe I have read too many shady online articles, and I am not used to the tone of serious literature, hahaha).
Congratulations!!!! Wonderful!!!!
Please provide the cast list, we are still rehearsing the show
