"Major, the airship will crash in one minute. Please advise."
"Make a precise crash landing at sea. Don't harm any civilians."
"Yes, sir."
Bai Wu looked out at the sunset beyond the airship and smiled with relief.
"It's been a pleasure working with you all..."
The airship plunged into the sea. The flames lit up half the sky, adding a touch of allure to the sunset.
The interstellar major Bai Wu had thought this was the end, never imagining it would become a beginning.
The seas became polluted... rivers became polluted... lakeshores became polluted...
When humanity lost its source of life, people gradually began to adapt to nature.
On dry land, people grew wings to help them forage. In flooded areas, they grew gills to breathe. People on the highlands grew fan-shaped fox tails to block hurricanes and sandstorms.
It is said that the original humans have gone extinct.
"Hey, fox, look over there. There's a bird-man."
"No, he's a human."
Little scene:
"You said humanity has three levels of warfare. Guns, cannons, and nuclear bombs; swords and spears. That's the first. Economic trade and resource plunder. That's the second. So what's the third?"
"..."
"Culture."
"When an alien culture infiltrates you and me... humanity is finished."
Reader's guide: The whole story is wildly imaginative. Yeah, that's it.
