At 25, Xia Chujin is beautiful, good-natured, and comes from a wonderful family. She had countless admirers as a student. Fresh out of graduate school, she lands a teaching job at a prestigious high school, the kind people envy, with a secure career and seemingly no worries for the rest of her life.

But an unmarried woman of the right age always faces the awkward pressure to get married. Her family treasures her and carefully selects potential partners for her.

Xia Chujin herself has a theory about boyfriends. She dreams that one day a prince charming will descend from the heavens, find the woman destined for him, and begin a romantic love story with her.

With a new job, a new environment, and a new home, Xia Chujin decides to build good relations with her neighbors. She starts visiting the beautiful doctor across the hall again and again, hoping to make her a close friend.

She never imagined that, though she considered herself completely straight and traditional, she would fall into a love that could almost be called a calamity.
