A Thousand Kinds of Tenderness

The young heir of the Huo family seems gentle and refined, but he's darker than anyone else.

Yu Yi had heard the rumors and knew her fiance was no good. If she fell into his hands, he'd devour her until not a bone was left, so she cleverly ran away.

Later, Yu Yi met a man as warm as a spring breeze. He was terribly poor, worked at a hotel, and was often groped by women.

Yu Yi fell for this poor but kind man. She pawned the diamond necklace she'd taken with her when she ran away, bought him new clothes, and brought him out of his filthy, run-down neighborhood.

Yu Yi convinced him to quit his job, and they moved in together. Their relationship grew warmer by the day. Their life was simple, but sweet.

Later still, Yu Yi realized something about this man wasn't quite right.

Even with her intelligence, all she could figure out was that beneath his gentle exterior, his possessiveness was abnormally intense.

But that was fine. Yu Yi loved him and would love every part of him.

In the end, Yu Yi finally learned that the man she'd worked so hard to support was none other than the fiance she'd been trying to escape.

Huo Xian bound Yu Yi's hands with his tie. "You said you'd support me for the rest of my life. What, are you trying to run away again?"

Yu Yi was so angry she could cry. "You lied to me! You tricked me into marriage. I didn't know what you were really like!"

Huo Xian stroked Yu Yi's belly. "Sorry, sweetheart, but you're pregnant. It'll be hard to run away with the baby."

Whatever he was like, his love for Yu Yi was real.
