Today Is a Good Day to Marry

The first time Ruan Qingqing saw Sheng Tan, she recognized him as the upperclassman she'd once had a crush on. Sheng Tan and Ruan Qingqing were married to unite their families. They weren't in love and barely knew each other, and lived separately after the wedding. He knew his wife was an aloof beauty, cool and distant in temperament. But after spending some time with her, he realized she was actually very gentle and soft-hearted: cold on the outside, soft on the inside. Sheng Tan began to have ideas. He was nothing like the refined, gentle gentleman Ruan Qingqing imagined him to be, but this was the first time he had tried to win someone over with "gentleness." He hadn't been pursuing her for long when Ruan Qingqing got drunk by accident, and Sheng Tan drove her home. After getting drunk, Ruan Qingqing muttered softly, "If our families hadn't arranged this marriage, we'd probably never have ended up together." After a long pause, Sheng Tan replied, "If our families hadn't arranged this marriage, I'd probably still be pursuing you."
