To Wei Donghan

Wei Donghan saw Deng Yizhou again in the fourth year after they fell out.

By then, Deng Yizhou had become the household-name top-tier star Ming Nuan, while Wei Donghan was still fretting over her internship.

That evening, word got around that Deng Yizhou had appeared at Xiyu University Stadium, and students and faculty from the whole school rushed over to see her.

Wei Donghan arrived too late and missed her. They had been close as children, but now they were like strangers, unable even to see each other.

She returned to her dorm, dejected.

Her roommate said someone was looking for her.

When she got back, she saw the famous star sitting at her desk, gazing at her with a warm smile. "Xiaohan, I missed you."

The star looked travel-worn, as if she'd hurried over from somewhere.

Only Wei Donghan knew that, in that moment, her heart almost stopped beating.

-

When she was young, Wei Donghan was insecure and timid, and could only swallow her anger when others bullied her.

"Be my little sidekick, and I'll protect you."

In their first year of high school, Deng Yizhou shone into her life like a ray of light.

That bond lasted seven years.

She admired and feared Deng Yizhou, yet when they were alone, she loved her deeply.

-

Deng Yizhou had once resented Wei Donghan for leaving too soon and making her spend the rest of her life with only faint memories to keep her company.

But after being reborn, when she saw Wei Donghan again for the first time, all Deng Yizhou wanted was to pull her into her arms and tell her:

"I missed you."

All these years since you passed away, I've missed you so much.

A rebirth story.

Xiaohan will regain her memories later on.

The story of Wei Donghan and Ming Nuan is in the neighboring novel, Falling for You Again.
