A Blind Date with a Ginseng Spirit

Bai Shen is a thousand-year-old ginseng spirit who runs a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, saving lives as he wanders among humans. He often says, "Inter-species romances never end well." One day, an enthusiastic patient’s aunt drags him along to a blind date. He figures there’s no harm in meeting the guy; it’s just a formality.

Who would have thought his date would look exactly like the ginseng hunter who saved his life nine hundred years ago?

Zhou Qinan is handsome, wealthy, and one of the most eligible bachelors around. Being set up by his family is awkward enough, but on their first meeting he even throws out his back. A man with back problems... umm, awkwardness upon awkwardness.

The refined, elegant young doctor heals his back in just a few moves, then fixes all his other little ailments while he’s at it.

Later, Zhou Qinan accidentally comes into contact with a drop of Doctor Bai’s blood, and his eyes light up of their own accord...

Little Scene

Zhou Qinan: A Shen, give me one more drop, just one... You have no idea, you’re basically my kidney tonic!

Bai Shen: #%^*$~ What the heck? He’s better, but I’m not!

A serene, gorgeous, and irresistible old ginseng spirit as the bottom x a debonair on the outside, pure-hearted elite as the top. No angst, sweet romance.

Theme: Lovers are destined to end up together.
