After My Secret Crush Became My Boss

During his senior-year internship, Wen Yu was told by the HR department of a publicly listed company to get a signature from his direct supervisor.

The instant he pushed open the office door, his gaze met that of the person he'd had a crush on in high school.

“Need a signature?”

“Mm.”

Huo Shenglan took the document and signed it without a word, his expression unreadable.

The next second, he heard Wen Yu say, “Mr. Huo, could you sign one for my boyfriend, too?”

In an instant, Huo Shenglan's fountain pen left a conspicuous blot of ink on the page.

“Have him come ask me in person.” His tone was as indifferent as when he'd rejected Wen Yu all those years ago.

-

Wen Yu didn't want Huo Shenglan to think he still had any improper feelings for him.

He ate with his boyfriend, came and went from the office with him, and made sure they were seen together in front of Huo Shenglan.

When they traveled during the holidays, of course they booked the same room.

That night, Huo Shenglan drove for five hours and personally dragged him out of the hotel and into the car, his voice unable to hide the anger simmering inside him.

“Wen Yu, have you lost your mind?”

“Mr. Huo, you said it yourself. Liking you was what made me crazy.”

Huo Shenglan thought, I regret it.

More than hearing “Mr. Huo,” he wanted Wen Yu to call him “Uncle Huo” one more time.

-

The bedroom of Huo Shenglan, one of the world's top designers, was filled with portraits he'd never shown anyone.

Seven years ago, one summer at his close friend's house, a beautiful boy rose onto his tiptoes and kissed him for the first time.

He shut the boy out with a coldness bordering on cruelty, yet every night afterward, he couldn't stop himself from painting the boy's face.

It was the most unspeakable secret in his otherwise open life, an inextricable knot in his heart, and the dark side he would never dare face.
