Why Is Lord Ubuyashiki Like That?

[Thanks to everyone for supporting the official release! Check the author's page for upcoming stories, and please add them to your favorites!] Question: What do you think of Ubuyashiki Zhenxiang, the head of the Demon Slayer Corps? Rock Hashira: Kind and compassionate, noble in character. He is the person who gave me a new life. Shinobu: Young, yet carrying a heavy burden. He always encourages others but never looks after himself, and he has a nasty habit of teasing people. I really don't like that, but the Master truly deserves everyone's respect. Dazai: He's the one who brought me into the Demon Slayer Corps. Thanks to Zhenxiang, I got to meet so many people who shine, and I was able to think about what the phrase "light is the meaning of everything" really means. Mori the Scum: Ubuyashiki is a master strategist. Every word he says and every action he takes has a hidden meaning. The Demon Slayer Corps is lucky to have a leader like him. I'm glad he's not an enemy, or he'd be quite a handful. Gintoki: He's a good guy. He gives me work, and there's always plenty of sweets. But killing demons is out of the question. Gin-san is really scared of ghosts! Upper Rank Six: A family member I had forgotten. Upper Rank Three: He has no heart at all. Zhenxiang: You probably won't believe this, but I actually got bound to a [Traitor System]. My goal is to become the ultimate double agent. I swear I was on close terms with the System and worked really hard. I never did anything good, and I did everything I could to help the Demon King, but in the end, the villains lost. Question: Why? Zhenxiang: If even the System can't figure that out, how would a mere Host like me know? Question: But everything you do seems to help the good guys, doesn't it? Zhenxiang: It's a coincidence. Every single one of them is an incredibly unfortunate coincidence! System: Actually, it wasn't until the very end that I realized, Host... Zhenxiang: Shut up! No spoilers! -[Reader's Guide]- 1. The timeline has been sent into hiding, and the story includes both alternate interpretations and major changes. Anything can happen at any time. Just blame quantum mechanics. 2. Zhenxiang's real name is Zhenxiang, and she's a girl disguising herself as a boy! 3. The pairing is with Chuuya. There isn't much romance. 4. The main plot has a twist. Feel free to make wild guesses. 5. It's complete, yay! Below is the old version of the blurb, which readers hated. I think it's still got at least a little bit of value, right? Yeah, probably. Surely it wasn't bad enough to scare everyone off, right? I can't give up... On the surface, he's a conscientious leader, Ubuyashiki Zhenxiang, head of the Demon Slayer Corps and bearer of the great responsibility of exterminating demons. Behind the scenes, he's already been bound to a [Traitor System]. Training (scaring off) the Nine Hashira: "You've all worked so hard, kids. Put down your swords and go find a love that lasts." Then hurry up and retire for good! Recruiting divine (pig) allies: "The master of the Yorozuya is a hidden master. He'll become the Sugar Hashira someday." As if. That good-for-nothing sweet-tooth looks lazy at a glance. "The boy who says he's being hunted by a tiger must be talented. He'll become the Cat Hashira someday." The timid boy who fainted from hunger by the roadside is way too frail. "I'll recruit all of them." Come pollute the Demon Slayer Corps! Thinking up plans to defeat (help) demons: "A genius strategist with the ability 'Crime and Punishment'? What a talent! We have to find a way to make sure the demons get him." "An immortal created by Altana energy? This guy must be able to deal a fatal blow to the Demon King." He definitely knows something about the Blue Spider Lily. Hurry up and hand him over to the scumbag boss! Then the villains lost. Traitor System: "???" Also known as "There's a Traitor Among Us", "Is the Master a Little Rebellious?", and "Master, What Are You Doing, Master?!" -[Recommended Stories by Friends]- "My Ability Is Tomie Kawakami" by Xia Yi: Everyone who has seen me has fallen in love with me.
