[The story is complete. Remember to give it a five-star rating! I've opened pre-orders for a historical story about Cousin Shen and Cousin Qiao. Go add it to your collection so I can start writing it once enough people have saved it.] When Qiao Yang attends her brother's wedding, she meets one of her sister-in-law's relatives. His name is Shen Hexing. His features are cool, but he's not aloof, and his lips always curve into a warm smile when he talks to people. Friends and family say he's a lay Buddhist who practices with his hair unshorn, and that he'll eventually shave his head and become a monk. Qiao Yang falls for him at first sight. She ignores everyone's advice and tries everything she can to win him over. But Shen Hexing has a heart like a bodhi tree. No matter how many times she flirts with him, his devotion to Buddhism never wavers. In a fit of anger, Qiao Yang goes abroad to study. - Three years later, Qiao Yang returns after completing her studies and is invited to teach dance in the performance department at C University. She becomes a colleague of Shen Hexing. Her friend teases her. "With your grades, you could work at any theater. Why go teach at C University?" Qiao Yang gives a solemn answer. "To educate and nurture people." Her friend asks, "Do you still like Shen Hexing?" Qiao Yang rolls her eyes. "Of course not! How could I fall for a monk?" Note: The title was inspired by the story song "Taking Refuge" from Jianwang 3. Content warnings: 1. A mild groveling arc. 2. The woman pursues the man at first, and then the man pursues the woman. The story starts three years earlier, so the pacing is a little slow. Edited 2019/12/26, screenshot saved~ Theme: A flower is a world, a leaf is a bodhi
