My upcoming novel, "The Jade Beauty Returns (Reborn)," is open for follows. Visit my author page to find it. Here's the blurb:
In her previous life, Xie Yao married Yu Jun, the powerful Grand Marshal, and was showered with favor. But when the city fell, Yu Jun, desperate to survive, ruthlessly forced her to take her own life.
In this life, Xie Yao has only three wishes:
Wish one: Have nothing more to do with Yu Jun.
Yu Jun: "I was wrong. Can't I make it right this time around?"
Wish two: Fall in love with her white moonlight, Xiao Cheng.
Xiao Cheng: "Actually, I've always wanted to tell you that you're a ray of light in my darkness."
Wish three: Stay alive and prevent the tragedy of the country falling and her family being destroyed.
Huan Gui, the Prince of Kuaiji who plays the fool while hiding his true strength: "All you have to do is cling to me."
When Huan Gui saw Xie Yao gazing lovestruck at Xiao Cheng, famed for his good looks, he let out a cold laugh. "Is Miss Xie San really so impressed by a man's looks?"
Xie Yao felt a chill at Huan Gui's icy gaze. "Not really. Actually, I care more about a man's inner qualities."
Huan Gui promptly took off his black gauze headpiece and sat bareheaded. "I'm the sort who wins with inner qualities. Do I still have a chance?"
Reader's Guide: 1. Set in an imaginary Wei-Jin era. Don't nitpick the history. 2. The author is obsessed with handsome men from the Wei-Jin era, so there are plenty of male characters. A satisfying, feel-good story with a happy ending.
Blurb:
Before Xue Mu's mother died, she said that marrying was the greatest regret of her life. With a scumbag for a father, Xue Mu resolutely chose the path of an unmarried woman. As one of the first female students, a female teacher, another female teacher, a principal, and a renowned scholar, she finally became the person she wanted to be. But then she met Qi Yun, and she feared her later years would be ruined.
A little scene:
At first, worried that she had a difficult path ahead of her alone, Qi Yun invited her: "I know we're alike. Will you marry me?"
Xue Mu steadied herself and replied woodenly: "You've got it wrong. Men are all pig trotters. I don't plan to marry in this lifetime."
Later, the land was plunged into darkness, and Qi Yun joined forces with others to turn the tide, even though it meant being imprisoned.
Xue Mu did everything she could to rescue him, then hurriedly asked: "You said you would marry me. Does that offer still stand?"
May there be years worth looking back on, and may deep love carry us through to old age.
Reader's Guide:
1. Not a typical wish-fulfillment story, one-on-one romance with a happy ending. If you find the opening slow, you can start from Chapter 21.
2. The setting is fictional, entirely fictional! Everything serves the plot, so please don't draw parallels to real people or events. If you care about historical accuracy, please read "When I Traveled to the Northern Song Dynasty to Join the Reforms" instead.
Theme: An inspiring life
Congratulations to my wife on the completion! ! ! Super awesome!
Wow, it's finally over? Congratulations, looking forward to the next one ~ It seems to be sweeter than this one :-(
I am destined not to see this episode, but I will still support it.
Big... I can't seem to see it anymore
Congratulations on finishing it. When will Bianjing Little Chef open?
Just like Juansheng and Zijun in "Sorrow", "I" and Weisheng in the extra story both want to break through the obstacles of feudal forces, pursue marriage independently and build a warm family, but they all end in failure. In the social context of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, the entire society had not yet been liberated, and it was impossible to achieve individual liberation and marital autonomy. The extra is much sadder than the main text. Xue Mu and Qi Yun finally held a new-style wedding and came together happily. However, Wei Sheng and "I" here are exactly the opposite. This may be the state of most new young people in that era. Even with the liberation of the mind, the backward and dark social reality will become a shackles that bind the body and mind.
? ? ? Why are the chapters I read repeated? I obviously have a normal subscription, but I'm exhausted.
Congratulations on the completion ~ Spread the flowers
In fact, I clicked on this article because I thought it was one of the ones in the pre-collection, but unexpectedly I found that it was very well written. I always felt that this time period in modern times is very cruel, so I am very grateful to DaDa for giving Qi Yun and Xue Mu a good ending.
Wow! Madam, it's all over so soon!
