Livestreaming from the Sea

[My first long novel. It’s not well written, so I don’t recommend reading it.]

[Seriously, I don’t recommend reading it.]

[Don’t read it.]

[Please, I’m begging you.]

Everyone knows that elevators are a classic element of horror movies. If you accidentally walk in the wrong direction when getting off an elevator, you’ll end up in a bloody, terrifying inner world.

But Luya missed a step and plunged into the embrace of the sea.

The literal embrace of the sea. After struggling to swim to a small island, a self-proclaimed System told her, "Congratulations! You’ve been selected by the anime livestream System and dropped into the embrace of the sea!"

Only by gaining enough attention and carving out a path through the crowd of streamers from other anime could she earn the chance to go home. So Luya diligently set out to win over all her dear viewers.

Later, after escaping poverty and becoming rich, Luya opened a crew-member gacha. Powerful crew members summoned from other worlds appeared one after another, and she sailed effortlessly to the pinnacle of life.

That was all a dream.

The crew members were all debt collectors, making her worry herself gray-haired at a young age.

The Navy had even more to say about that.

The current regular crew members from other worlds are:

A suspected vice-captain from the Seireitei, clearly a big shot but always taking it easy over tea, insisting he’s a noble and nothing like you vulgar temptresses

A violent damage-dealer who seemed adorable at first, but grew more and more rebellious over time

A bugged ship’s doctor who can save anyone as long as they’re not dead

A girl scientist who does science in the world of Detective Conan

As for the list of short-term hires, Luya declined an interview with this station.

Our reporter Xixi, reporting from the scene.

Warning for the secondary couple: Uryu and Orihime from the Seireitei world.

A few things to note:

1. Although this book is labeled as a serious story, the logic is actually a complete mess. It’s just meant to be a funny, entertaining story about pirate crew life and the lively banter in the livestream chat. There are no high-IQ, high-level clashes.

2. The author has neither writing skill nor technique, and this work has no literary value whatsoever, but I’ll do my best to tell this meaningless story well.

3. I really don’t have the writing ability for this. The finished work is very different from what I had in mind.

4. The heroine is impulsive. She’s never had anything resembling wisdom and sometimes acts up, repeatedly flirting with death.

[Bold and underlined] Let me say it again: the heroine’s personality is not perfect at all. She makes mistakes all the time, gets herself and others into trouble, especially the people around her. She has Lu Bao’s brains, but not his luck. She’s always making a mess of things. But she gradually grows through all that chaos and learns to treat the world with greater care.

Theme: You have to strive for the life you want.
