The Little Mermaid and the Bandage Monster

One human isn't enough. I want a whole group!

The little mermaid from the deep sea spends one day pestering a bandaged weirdo, the next catching a hat rack, and the day after that kidnapping a Kusuo-nyan. Life is just wonderful.

But there are plenty of troubles, too.

One of them is basically a suicide manual, another is always drinking and speeding, and one goes through coffee jellies one after another.

It's so hard to raise humans properly.

The little mermaid sighs and writes her newly learned lessons in her notebook.

Raising humans costs a whole lot of money. Selling her labor just doesn't bring in enough.

The Port Mafia is a ○○ organization, but its benefits are surprisingly decent.

Humans are social animals, but if you raise them together, they get jealous easily.

The humans being raised: Okay, that's not a bad way to look at it.

Until one day, the little mermaid opened the door to a whole new world.

She touched the little tentacles behind her, glanced away, and asked tentatively, "Anyone want to try a new use for tentacles?"

Seeing the tentacle ○○ book lying on the ground, everyone fell silent as a flock of chickens.

In the silence, a certain bandaged weirdo undid his shirt buttons and smiled. "Come on, I'm game!"

Everyone: "Get lost! -.-#"

Something still feels off, though. She said she would spoil her boyfriend, so why does it always feel like she's the one being spoiled?

The art exhibition opens successfully, and Ayako goes to meet the investor behind it.

Her assistant opens the door. "Boss, this is Mr. Dazai, the Port Mafia's boss and the exhibition's investor."

She freezes on the spot.

The young man on the sofa is elegant and handsome, his features clean and refined. He's the man she loves.

"Ayako." His amber eyes brim with tender affection as he smiles. He catches her as she turns to leave, buries his face in the hollow of her shoulder, and takes a deep breath. "When we're done working today, let's go on a date."

Ayako: "..."

Hah. Wasn't he supposed to be a powerless, penniless little sweetheart, cherished and pampered in the palm of her hand? Why bother asking her out now? He can go ask the moon and stars on a date instead!!
