South Wind

This is a free short story, posted here to save a spot. If you want to read The Little Palace Maid Who Took Her Sister's Place, please add it to your favorites from my author page. I'll revise it and build up a backlog before starting the serial.

Zhao Fengnan is the daughter of a concubine in a declining Duke's residence. Xiao Tongxian is a young emperor who ascended the throne at a tender age.

When Fengnan first entered the palace, she overheard people discussing her background: "Her father is an idiot, and her stepmother is like that. This girl probably won't amount to anything, and there's no hope for her future. Who would dare marry her?"

Fengnan hid alone in the library and quietly cried. She never expected Xiao Tongxian to offer her a handkerchief and say with a smile, "Sister Fengnan, if you're afraid no one will marry you, how about I marry you?"
