Beware of Fire, Thieves, and Junior Brothers

In his previous life, Mu Qingjia, senior disciple of the Lingao Sect, was a good-for-nothing who died defending the mountain during the war between immortals and demons. His junior fellow disciple, meanwhile, was a peerless talent who made a name for himself in a single battle on the main front, thousands of miles away. When the junior returned to the mountain, he found no sign of his senior, only a pile of ashes. So he seized his senior's soul, used divine wood to remake his body, and brought him back to life. After his resurrection, Mu Qingjia was both blind and mute, had lost all his memories, and was plagued by terrible luck. His beautiful junior came looking for him, wanting to be his protector, but he was domineering, sharp-tempered, and far too forceful. He even angrily threatened to shrink Mu Qingjia into a little wooden doll, pick him up, tuck him against his chest, and carry him back to the mountain. Mu Qingjia thought to himself, what kind of world was this, where a junior disciple bossed his senior around? Then he glanced at his junior's sword and reluctantly gave up on fighting back by force. And so Mu Qingjia began a life of smoothing his junior's ruffled feathers. After tending to his junior for long enough, he discovered that the hot-tempered beauty was all bark and no bite with him: gentle, tsundere, and utterly adorable. He was set on winning the beauty's heart, but who could have guessed the truth was not brotherly affection, but a junior who wanted to top his senior? - At first, the senior has lost all five senses: hearing, speech, smell, sight, and physical sensation. He will recover them one by one. - In his previous life, the senior had an impressive secret identity and was no good-for-nothing. Gentle on the outside, strong on the inside, smiling senior as the pursued X sharp-tongued, soft-hearted, hot-tempered junior as the pursuer. Strong leads, younger pursuer. A slow burn, with feelings that deepen gradually; both angst and sweetness. Plot-focused, with a somewhat large ensemble cast. Theme: Never give in to the fate laid out for you.
